Welcome...welcome...
I hope this post finds everyone well. April showers bring May flowers, so it is said. I won't be posting any flower pics as themes next month (as there is a possibility I may take some time off in May from posting the Sunday Soundtrack due to work related issues - we shall see).
That being said, I bring forth.....the playlist. Vibe is the tone...let's go.
1. No Use - Jazzanova feat. Clara Hill/In Between
2. Makeda - Les Nubians/Princesses Nubiennes
3. Aganju - Bebel Gilberto/Bebel Gilberto
4. Down In Brazil - Richard Bull/One Summer Sky
5. Groove Interrupted - Pieto
6. One Wish For Me - Miguel Migs/Colorful You
7. Positivity - Positive Flow feat. Donna Gardier/Can You Feel It?
8. Moon Over Flamingo Lodge - Monte LaRue/Ceci n'est pas une compilation (Disque Deux)
9. In The Middle Of You - Vikter Duplaix/Bold and Beautiful
The photo credit goes to Karlos as the source.
Thanks to my fellow podcasters for the cool drops you did for me....I appreciate it....
peaceful vibes...

Welcome crew.... The above picture is pretty much descriptive of the day as I type this. Been a busy weekend, so dub this the Sunday (Evening) Soundtrack.
Hope everyone had a good week. I chose a theme for this podcast based on two songs that played back to back on my iPod this week. The theme is Sista Soul, each track is a soulful tune with female lead vox, but with hints of downtempo and chill elements thrown in for good measure - hope you enjoy.
The playlist is as follows:
1. Don't Waste Your Time (DJ Smash Remix) - Deborah Bond/Midnight Soul 3 (Disc 1)
2. Friendly Pressure - Jhelisa/Future Soul
3. Nutshell - Kim Hill/Midnight Soul 3 (Disc 1)
4. You Will Rise - Sweetback/Sweetback
5. Thrill (Featuring Ma Dita) - dZihan & Kamien/Gran Riserva
6. This Lull-a-bye - Esthero/We R in need of a musical ReVoLuTIon
7. Curiousity - Amba/Amba
8. Perfect For Me - Shang/Beautiful
Shouts to DJ Diva, The Mixtress and Nikki...the female podcasters with (sista) soul. Nod to EJ my DJ, who is a Jhelisa fan, and Jenn who is a BIG fan of Amel Larrieux (did I mention she is a big fan???). Shouts to all my other fellow podcasters as well.
peaceful vibes, strong grooves

I'm about to wax philosophically about my enjoyment of using Twitter, probably (so far) the most useful application of social networking I've ever used (The use of MySpace for connecting to and networking with other musicians and recording artists such as myself probably ties, if not runs a close second)
I dont QUITE remember how I started using Twitter, but as of today I've been on for 516 days (or 1 year, 4 months, 30 days) from the start date of November 21, 2006. With 5163 updates as of this blogpost, that averages to about 10 *tweets* per day.
I have learned more about social networking (in terms of it's science), the use and power of it in business and technology, and the applications associated with it, then any other sites I've been on. I've been on Blackplanet, Blackuniverse (short stint), and Myspace, and as said above, with the exception of MySpace, the other fail miserably in comparison (with respect to my interests - all due respect to BP and BU)
I first got interested in Twitter after reading about it via a story in Wired Magazine about the way its creator tweets. The articles are listed below, should u be so inclined to read them.
Twitter was created to answer the question "What are you doing?" The mechanism, via the web, SMS, and various Twitter apps, allows one to answer that question in 140 characters or less. I've found in the time I've been on that many do that, while many others use it pretty much like an instant messenger client. The response time is so quick on Twitter that it's easy to see why some find that convenient to do. What is different than an IM chat client is that Twitter allows many to follow you and vice versa, in that some create what is called "twitterfams" (now that's the ultimate in social networking, per se). One can unfollow others, or block them if they see fit also. Tweets can be seen publicly, and via RSS feeds, or one can remain private and off public timelines. Direct messages to another are also private. I don't consider myself an expert, so I am sure I left out some key points.
I think I've been on Twitter long enough to see most of the ways people use it. While it is very easy to *chat* on Twitter (I've found myself doing it...), I am now leaning more towards being a Twitter *purist* more so than not. There's something about answering the Twitter questin I prefer more than the continual chat aspect of it ... there's always DM for long back and forth communication via Twitter (if one or both are not on, or want to use an IM client).
Last year I tweeted around about Twitter tips, etiquette, etc, and got a few answers from a chosen few. Since then I found a blog post via a tweet by David Michaels regarding checking Twitter Karma. I tend to agree and try to subscribe to that which is below (to me, they make great sense):
A couple helpful Twitter tips...
No-no's
Lack of activity
Too much activity. Using @s constantly, therefore turning Twitter into a public chat room. Or just twittering way too much...and by way too much I mean posting tweets every 20 minutes or less. I'm serious! In fact, limit it to 30 minutes apart, AT LEAST.
Twittering non-sense (i.e. "Pooping" or "vms;udhf") Needless to say, annoying. (this is subject to definition, of course)
Spamming links from your Flickr, Utterz, and/or blog, etc. A few occasional links here and there are quite alright. Moreover, make sure the links you are posting lead to substantive subject matter relevant to your followers. Don't post last nights binge drinking and then go follow business oriented twitter-ites.
Save the expletives and vulgarities. If you shouldn't say it in person, don't say it online. (Again, could be a transfer of offline activity).
Don't worry about who is or is not following you any longer. Get a life! ...just kidding. No, actually if you break a sweat when your "followers" count goes down a tick, that's a sign that Twitterholics anonymous is for you. Admit it. Quit it. Forget it. Don't twitter about who unfollowed you.
Don't Tweet and drive folks. Safety is #1
Do's
Do the opposite of everything above!
Use Twitter to share the wealth that is you and your intuition, insight, talents, creativity, joy, love, and so on throughout your daily life. (My favorite - for me, I'll add technology share...)
Greet and thank those that do follow you. (Great etiquette!)
The Twitterverse is your oyster not your garbage dispenser.
This isn't exactly a do, but is essentially. Just because you don't have 10,000+ followers like Scobleizer or iJustine doesn't make you a nobody. Instead, it means that you have a unique niche or community of friends with which you can realistically communicate and share thoughts and experiences.
Do the right thing and Tweet responsibly. :)
Twitter is awesome for networking in industries related to the Internet and technology, or almost anything thing for that matter.
So obviously this is not an exhaustive list of what to do and what not to do with Twitter, nor is it a rule book. But these are my personal experiences and guidelines for myself on how to utilize Twitter. In the end do what works for you.
So there you have it. Here are some articles about Twitter, that you might find interesting:

Hello and welcome back. I trust everyone is doing well. Hang on...I hope my bagels are not burning....be right back!
Sorrrryyy! Ok...Glad to bring u another edition of The Sunday Soundtrack. It's always nice to bring a few new artists to podcast and this week, those two, well known artists, are Koop and Kaya Project. I hope you enjoy their offerings.
A question was posed to me last week: Where do you find your tracks? I often choose tracks based on what I hear when I am driving, listening to XM Radio's Channel 84 - Chill, or listening to  Groove Salad - an excellent source for the genres presented in this podcast. Groove Salad has a podcast on iTunes via NPR that gives samplings of what they play. Rusty Hodge does a fine job of producing that podcast, complete with info on each artist.
This week's playlist is as follows:
1. Summer Sun - Koop/Waltz For Koop
2. The Flow (Aural Float Remix Edit) - Vargo/Ibiza Chillout Edition
3. Good Morning London - Kaya Project/Elixir
4. City Childhood - Vision
5. Superdope - Jens Buchert/Intersphere
6. Falling Man - Espresso Del Lago/Yeti
7. Bomberclad Joint (Knowtoryous) - Kruder & Dorfmeister/The K&D Sessions
8. Dreaming of You - Chevalier
All the artists, with the exception of Vision and Chevalier, can be found on iTunes
Self correction: I mentioned in the podcast that if I forgot anyone, to charge it to my heart and not my mind....NOT!! Charge it to my MIND and not my HEART! HAHA! Extra shouts to Nikki AND THE SENSEI - Ej FLAVORS! All the links are in my blog roll!
Here's to a wonderful day, night, and week. Thanks for listening...
peace....

Welcome listeners. Thanks for stopping by. My hopes are that you've had or are currently having a great week. A busy one here (I MUST learn to slowwwwwwww down). It's been somewhat relaxing, so no complaints.
This edition of the SSP follows the format of last week - keepin' it moving with a gradual, but jazzy descent into chill. Taking it from the top, the playlist is as follows:
1. Summertime Breeze - Larry Heard (Mr Fingers)/Future Soul
2. Wooter - RDM
3. Azure - Beanfield/Human Patterns
4. Spirit - Monet/Groove Boutique Vol. 1
5. Deepness Is Served - J.Axel/Deepness Is Served
6. Aztec - Jens Buchert/Sunrider
7. Cinquo Dias - Espresso Del Lago/Yeti
8. Astral Projections - Tom Middleton/LifeTracks
All of the above artists can be found on iTunes and Amazon with the exception of rdm. His page is here.
Special shouts to two of my brothers in podcasting: Fave with the Friday Favecast, and Darrenkeith Wyatt with Thriftstore Gems and My Love For Music. Welcome back Fave, with the new hotness for the remainder of '08 and beyond. The layout is bangin'. Kudos to Darrenkeith for the offerings of the varied genres he brings us in both podcasts, and passion he puts forth in portraying "the different"
Wishing continued success to all the other podcasters also!
peace!

Good evening all...Yes evening...
This is the Sunday evening edition of the Sunday Soundtrack (smile). I hope this finds you well. In my constant search for the mellowest, yet groove laden, tracks of downtempo, chill, electronica, and ambient, I strive to bring those to the listening audience. This edition brings some more uptempo tracks up front, to a slower movement towards the end.
Today's edition brings u some well known artists in the aforementioned genres, as well as, once again, Todd Kelley, aka The Big La vs Todd. I hope you do enjoy it. The track list is as follows:
1. Shinkansen - Tom Middleton/Lifetracks
2. Sure Thing - St. Germain/Ultra Chilled
3. Where Are We - dZihan & Kamien/Freaks and Icons
4. Holographic Universe - Thievery Corporation/The Cosmic Game
5. Afterworld - Alex Cortiz/Magnifico
6. Half Moon Bay (Feeding The Pelicans) - Big La vs Todd/Enemy Of The Crates

From YouTube:This fascinating, brilliant 20-minute video narrates the history of the "Amen Break," a six-second drum sample from the b-side of a chart-topping single from 1969. This sample was used extensively in early hiphop and sample-based music, and became the basis for drum-and-bass and jungle music -- a six-second clip that spawned several entire subcultures. Nate Harrison's 2004 video is a meditation on the ownership of culture, the nature of art and creativity, and the history of a remarkable music clip.

Good day/evening listeners....Thanks for checking out this edition of The Sunday Soundtrack. This edition is a special departure from the vibes of downtempo, chill, electronica, and ambient beats. Instead, it is a celebratory musical offering in dedication to Jesus Christ on this Resurrection Sunday.
The tracks in offering are hymns and gospel tunes rendered in a contemporary format. The artists featured are The Brentwood Jazz Quartet and gospel keyboardist, Ben Tankard. For those of you familiar with gospel songs and traditional hymns, see how many you recognize as you listen.
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. For God So Loved The World - Ben Tankard
2. Christ The Lord Is Risen Today - The Brentwood Jazz Quartet
3. What A Friend We Have In Jesus - Ben Tankard
4. Holy, Holy, Holy - The Brentwood Jazz Quartet
5. Welcome Into This Place - Ben Tankard
6. Let Us Break Bread Together - Sam Levine (Brentwood Jazz)
7. A Mighty Fortress - Brentwood Jazz Quartet
8. Kume-Bi-Yah - Ben Tankard
9. No Words Necessary - Ben Tankard
I'll take this moment to give thanks unto Him for paying the cost at Calvary for me, and for every blessing He has given unto me...
Have a great and prosperous day
...peace
